Grandpa, What Big Eyes You Have: daily photo for 28 Oct

The moment I saw this lens (Nikon 85mm, f1.4), I wanted to make this shot. It has been long enough in my hands to say something intelligible.

I really like this glass. When i need it, I will be renting again from BorrowLenses because this is not cheap glass. I have to return it Monday.

It’s not a lightweight, but has a good feel and balance mounted on my D200. The focus motor is very quiet. Shooting on a crop sensor DSLR, like my D200, it’s pretty long, but good for those really close, just-the-face shots, without chasing the subject up to a wall.
